A Good Day to Be a Dog (2023) 오늘도 사랑스럽개
Directed by Kim Dae-woong, starring Park Gyu-young and Cha Eun-woo.
Finished episode 6 the day before yesterday, and since it's an ongoing series and I caught up with the latest aired episode, I have to wait till the next episode will be broadcasted. In the meantime I'm watching another series, Your Honor (2018).
A Good Day to Be a Dog has proved to be much more enjoyable than I had expected, as the first episode didn't look that promising. But with every new episode I like it better. And the leads Park Gyu-young and Cha Eun-woo have wonderful chemistry and I love their characters together and individually. Can we also talk about Park Gyu-young's lovely wardrobe and the series' dreamy saturated colours and the use of yellow? I still have to get used to Korean male actors wearing makeup and at times it's more evident, like here with Cha Eun-woo's glossy lipstick. It's a bit distracting. But I find him an attractive male lead and love to see more of him.
So many nice and funny moments: Cha Eun-woo driving a car, only recently gotten his license (I was laughing out loud); Park Gyu-young in spy mode while transformed into the cute dog; Park Gyu-young comforting a crying Cha Eun-woo; the lovely scene with the leads and the yellow umbrella; Cha Eun-woo adjusting the hairpin in Park Gyu-young's hair; the leads running to the wedding venue and holding hands; I could go on and on. Also, Park Gyu-young in dog form showing Cha Eun-woo how cute she is!!! I'm so excited to watch the rest of the series and to see how the romance between the leads will develop (they are clearly into each other already).
