WHILE YOUR LEGS ARE STRONG AND YOUR HEAD IS CLEAR, DO WHAT YOU HAVE ALWAYS WANTED TO DO.

A 70-year-old with a dream and a 23-year-old with a gift lift each other out of harsh realities and rise to the challenge of becoming ballerinos. (Synopsis: Letterboxd)

I craved a heartwarming series without violence and crime and opted for this slice-of-life show since it has good ratings and I find the story premise exciting. Though it's a familiar trope of two people brought together who are an unlikely match (and you know they are going to strike up a friendship), I cannot wait for their relationship to unfold. I watched two episodes and find Park In-hwan as the 70-year-old totally endearing and cute. I love his determination and stamina, also illustrated with a scene from the past where his dedication is shown in his job as a mailman. I'm hoping for a romance between Song Kang (as the young ballet dancer) and Hong Seung-hee (as Park In-hwan's granddaughter). This series had me already teary-eyed in episode one when Park In-hwan's friend passed away, so I'm expecting to do my fair share of crying. And as someone who loves ballet, it's great to see the dance scenes and hear the wonderful Swan Lake music. Cannot wait to see more!
