*It wasn't my intention to watch this series now but after I'd seen some scenes, I got curious. And I'm familiar with the main couple, Ji Chang-wook and Kim Ji-won, and love them both. Fortunately they have good chemistry.
*I like the quirky set-up of this drama with the interviews and the main characters talking to the camera but occasionally I wished for a normal set-up and storytelling.
*The development of the romance of our OTP feels natural. I love their happy and carefree moments at the beach, making their own surfboards and surfing together, being holed up in the cute little trailer when it's raining, or dancing in the rain in front of the trailer. Love Kim Ji-won as a free spirit, with her long dark hair and blonde highlights. But as much as I love the happy scenes, I even like the awkward scenes between them better when they meet again in the city.
*I could relate to So Joo-yeon as Suh Rin-i, not wanting to work a full-time job, preferring to have more spare time and living the minimalistic life. The break-up scene with her boyfriend Choi Kyeong-jun (Kim Min-seok), taking place in the car, is well-acted.
*Han Ji-eun as Oh Seon-yeong (recently seen in Study Group) plays a serial dater and is Kang Geon's ex-girlfriend (played by Ryu Kyung-soo). Their story was the least appealing. Oh Seon-yeong was drunk a lot, by the way, and I keep being amazed about the alcohol consumption in South Korea and how this is depicted in K-dramas.
*But that final episode!!! What the hell?!? Almost the whole episode is dedicated to the cop/actress couple. We've seen the cop before with his colleague, also being interviewed, but the actress is newly introduced (unless I missed something). I do like their story and the fact that she wanted to share her first kiss with someone she truly liked (so not with the obnoxious co-star actor) but to sideline the main characters in the last episode is just so wrong!!!!
*Great cinematography (love the vintage-tinted filters) and OST!
*All in all, an easy and quick watch, 17 episodes of approx. half an hour each.
