*This series had never been on my radar, even though I knew of its existence. But I love Cho Seung-woo in God's Gift – 14 Days and wouldn't mind seeing more of his work. I just didn't feel like watching Stranger so opted for this recent series. (Cho Seung-woo doesn't have an extensive drama catalogue to choose from, unfortunately). Glad to report that Divorce Attorney Shin turned out to be an entertaining watch. There's humour but also plenty of serious moments, and the mysterious backstory of the male lead, involving the death of his sister, is slowly being revealed.
*I love Cho Seung-woo, the actor. He doesn't look as handsome as he did in God's Gift – 14 Days. Here he has a different look with longer hair (still an okay haircut) and glasses, with trousers too short and wearing loafers. Love his leading character Shin Sung-han, how caring and diligent he is. For instance, I love how he helps his client, the cleaning lady, with her chores. I also love the role music plays in this drama and how Shin Sung-han, a former classical pianist, loves music. The scenes where he's listening to music in his apartment and is singing along are very funny.
*The female lead, Han Hye-jin as Lee Seo-jin, is less appealing but I did like her eventually and I like her badass action of fixing the door in ep. 3. The child actor playing Lee Seo-jin's son acts very well. I also love his character!
*This series has a nice bromance. Love how Shin Sung-han's buddies, Kim Sung-kyun as Jang Hyeong-geun and Jung Moon-sung as Jo Jeong-sik, support him and how they stand by each other. I like the camping scenes.
*Love the romance of Jang Hyeong-geun and the noodle shop woman.
*I like the different legal cases and how Shin Sung-han ultimately becomes his nephew's legal guardian.
*No romance between the main couple, and I'm glad they didn't force it since there are no romantic sparks between Shin Sung-han and Lee Seo-jin.
