I felt like watching a rom-com and the ongoing food-themed series Tastefully Yours (2025) seemed like something I would love. I immediately liked the lead actress Go Min-si (whom I've seen before in Jirisan in a supporting role) and love her character Mo Yeon-joo, a chef with a no-nonsense attitude and a love of nature. The male lead, Kang Ha-neul as Han Beom-woo, is less appealing to me (never seen him in a drama before) but he's well suited to play the role of the chaebol. His character is dishonest, annoying and arrogant at first but after meeting Yeon-joo, he slowly gets more likeable and at times even endearing. I like how flawed he is. He seems genuine in his interactions with Yeon-joo (besides wanting to steal her recipes, haha!) and it looks like he's comfortably settling into his new environment.
The leads have great chemistry and I totally believe in their developing mutual attraction. You see Beom-woo falling hard for Yeon-joo, but when the first kiss came at the end of ep. 4, with his confession that he likes her, I thought it was way too soon. But then I realised it's a 10-episode series so we're almost at the midpoint. New episodes are broadcasted weekly on Monday and Tuesday so today they aired episode 5 and tomorrow they'll air episode 6. Really eager to catch up with the new episodes. By the way, I love the episode with the food festival and food truck!
