Oh My Venus

Review notes were previously posted on Letterboxd, on a private list with watched K-dramas. I deleted the list so will publish the notes here.

Watched 17 - 19 April 2022 — 16 episodes (VIKI, eps. 1 - 14 & DRAMACOOL, eps. 15 - 16)

*Great chemistry between the leads So Ji-sub and Shin Min-a.
*Preferred the first part where Shin Min-a is still chubby and wears glasses. Her chubbiness was cute and well done.
*The last two episodes were mainly fillers, with nothing much happening other than our romantic leads spending time together and being lovable. Cuteness overload at times, especially the scene with the pink shawl and the ring hidden in the little ball of wool.
*Also liked the second romantic couple Jung Gyu-woon and Yoo In-young. Yoo In-young was very good at playing vulnerable.
*Loved the drama with So Ji-sub’s disease and the accident. Had to cry a couple of times, e.g. when he was lying in the hospital and Shin Min-a was standing outside his room, sobbing and talking to him and saying she was sorry she never told him she loved him.
*Also liked So Ji-sub’s roomies Sung Hoon and Henry Lau, and of course Choi Jin-ho as the manager.
*OST is not so memorable but there are still some catchy songs and tunes.
