Familiar Wife (2018)
Watched 21 - 23 April 2022 — 16 episodes (DRAMACOOL/ VIKI)
*Interesting time-travel story premise where Ji Sung gets the chance to go back in time and leave his toxic married life with Han Ji-min behind.
*Good chemistry between the leads. I really like Ji Sung, and the way he silently looks at Han Ji-min. Han Ji-min is not very appealing in the first timeline story where she’s rather aggressive and scary. But when Ji Sung travels back in time and meets Han Ji-min again, her character is totally different and I really began to like her, especially through her scenes with her mother suffering from Alzheimer’s disease.
*Love episode 9 where the mothers of our leads end up in the same hospital and Ji Sung and Han Ji-min share some nice scenes.
*Also, love the ending of episode 10 set at a children’s playground where Han Ji-min confesses to Ji Sung that she likes him very much and draws him close for a kiss.
*I had not expected the twist where Ji Sung and Han Ji-min travel back in time together and liked this development very much.
*Han Ji-min reminded me a bit of Megan Follows from Anne of Green Gables.
*Fortunately the ending was satisfying.
*OST has some great songs.
*Also shed some tears with this show.
