THOUGHTS AFTER WATCHING EPISODES 7 & 8:
*I feel very conflicted about the two female leads Yi-seo and Soo-ah!!!
*Yi-seo is the main female lead. She should have my sympathy and I’m supposed to be rooting for her. But her behaviour in these episodes, the way she treated Tony and Geun-soo, was so hurtful and downright wrong (even knowing she’s a sociopath) and she just irritated me a lot. She also only made apologies for the benefit of Sae-ro-yi, because she likes him and would do anything for him. By the way, I liked the fight she had with Sae-ro-yi over the way she treated her friend Geun-soo and it clearly showed how she doesn’t feel compassion for another human being, only thinking about the business at hand. Her character is not easy to like, yet there are times that I do like her. I’m really curious how her character will develop and how Sae-ro-yi will fall for her romantically. I still don’t feel any sparks flying from his side yet.
*At the moment I’m on Team Soo-ah. I like her conflicted and layered character. As I was reading comments on Dramabeans and Dramacool, somebody was saying she couldn’t think of a single thing Soo-ah had done wrong other than going to work for Park Sae-ro-yi’s enemy. Well, admittedly it’s a pretty big thing and morally wrong, but she never went behind his back, even got his blessing. She’s not really an evil person and we can understand where she’s coming from. I loved her relationship with Park Sae-ro-yi’s father. I know she doesn’t end up with Park Sae-ro-yi but I really want to know what will happen to her. Also, I loved how she turned down Jang Geun-won and how she looked at him full of loathing.
Looking forward to the rest of the show!
