*Finished season 1 of this highly acclaimed medical series yesterday and I'm looking forward to season 2 where I'm expecting the romantic relationships between our main characters to be developed further.
*At first I couldn't get into this series and was slightly disappointed for not liking it completely right away. This had everything to do with the introduction of too many characters. Not only the five main characters but also their love interests, and the doctors and nurses from their teams, as well as residents and interns. Dealing with medical cases where also patients are involved, there was just an overload of characters. Show improved drastically after the first episodes, once one gets to know the main characters better. Ultimately I absolutely loved this show!
*I like medical series, and it's interesting to see the different medical cases and the skills of our doctors on full display, but the strength of this series lies in the relationship between the five friends. Their characters are also very well written and well developed. I love the interactions between the doctors and patients and to see how empathic the doctors are.
*For once, the higher-ups — the Director of Yulje Medical Center and the Chairman of the Yulje Foundation (Ju Jong-su) — are likeable people. It's just so refreshing to have executives in a K-drama who are not corrupt or hungry for power and money. Also, Ju Jong-su is so adorable in his interactions with Jung Ro-sa (Jeong-won's mother). I love this couple so much!
*Yet my favourite characters are Lee Ik-jun (played by Jo Jung-suk) and Chae Song-hwa (Jeon Mi-do). I love their friendship and cannot wait to see them romantically involved in season 2. Love the episode where Song-hwa babysits for Ik-jun when his son is sick, and they already look like a married couple.
*Also favourite characters are Gyeo-ul (Shin Hyun-bin) and Jeong-won (Yoo Yeon-seok) and I love their kiss in the final episode.

*The five doctor friends seem to be having food on their minds all the time. The eating scenes where they are stuffing themselves, especially Song-hwa (who keeps apologising for having brothers), are funny.
*By the way, Ik-jun's son is the cutest!
