What Happens to My Family (2014): started watching 1 May 2024 (27/53 episodes)
I don't think I will finish this family drama any time soon, but I still enjoy the show when I watch an episode occasionally. I'm waiting for Kim Sang-kyung and Kim Hyun-joo to get together, that's my biggest interest. 53 episodes is a big chore, I have to say, and this is not compelling enough to keep me continuously engaged.

Hot Stove League (2019): started watching 26 July 2024 (2/16 episodes)
Watching this critically acclaimed sports series together with my sister. It has a slow start but I enjoy it so far and I'm confident it's going to be a satisfying watch. Show won several awards, including Best Drama at the 56th Baeksang Arts Awards. Its lead actors Namkoong Min and Park Eun-bin are very appealing. I've never seen Namkoong Min before in a drama and I like him a lot. Park Eun-bin is great, I love her (still need to see Extraordinary Attorney Woo). I'm not expecting any romance but I like to see Namkoong Min and Park Eun-bin interact with each other. Cannot wait to continue watching!

Forever Love (2020): started watching 27 July 2024 (3/28 episodes)
This is my second Chinese series (my first one is When I Fly Towards You). It also starts as a high school drama (with young love growing into an adult relationship) and it features a likeable main couple, but they're not nearly as cute as Zhou Yiran and Zhang Miaoyi from When I Fly Towards You. I've only seen several episodes so it's too early to say whether I'm going to love this as much as When I Fly Towards You. There's also little plot and it's predictable. You can see Julia Xiang Hanzhi (as Xia Linxi) falling for Wang Anyu (as Jiang Zhenghan) when he's being nice to the little girl. The side characters are just okay but nothing like the lovable group of friends in When I Fly Towards You. (Did you notice how I keep comparing the two Chinese dramas?) So I will keep watching because I like the lead couple and I also would like to know how they will become a romantic couple, but it's not binge-worthy yet.
Military Prosecutor Doberman (2022): started watching 27 July 2024 (3/16 episodes)
To be honest, I never had much interest in this series, until I saw Ahn Bo-hyun in Flex X Cop. I like him there in a leading part and wanted to check out another main role for him. So I looked up the synopsis of Military Prosecutor Doberman, and the idea of Ahn Bo-hyun fighting evils in the military together with the female lead appeals to me. An added bonus is that there's a hint at romance. Jo Bo-ah is the female lead and I've never seen her in a drama before. I like her and her feisty character (really kicking ass already), and she has good chemistry with Ahn Bo-hyun. At the moment this is my favourite of the four simultaneously watched titles but I can also see myself liking Hot Stove League very much. Stay tuned for more updates!
