Strong Woman Do Bong-soon (2017) 힘쎈여자 도봉순
Directed by Lee Hyung-min.
My elder sister loves this, and I can remember this as being one of the first Korean series she was crazy about and even showed me scenes from. It never particularly appealed to me but now I decided to give it a go and I seriously love this too. I like the female lead Park Bo-young a lot and her superpower strength, but I didn't expect to love the male lead Park Hyung-sik so much. I know him from Happiness, but I like him here much better. Normally if I have to choose between two romantic interests, a childhood friend/cop or a rich chaebol heir, I'd go for the cop. But in this case the cop played by Kim Ji-soo is rather annoying (with only one facial expression), and Park Hyung-sik's character is extremely likeable and adorable. He made me fall for him right away. It's of course clear Park Bo-young ends up with him, and as I'm starting episode 11 now, it won't be long before she realises her feelings for our cute chaebol heir. Can't wait to finish this series.
