*I liked this series even better than I had expected. I was interested because I liked the story premise of a chaebol heir who becomes a detective for a police violent crimes team and has to deal with the female veteran detective on the team (she's also the team leader), and I was hoping for some romance.
*Ahn Bo-hyun as Jin I-soo gives a good and nuanced performance. I didn't like his looks with the slick hairdo and two loose strands of hair, wearing makeup and flashy clothes. I love him with his normal hair, with bangs, and wearing neutral clothes and with a serious expression on his face. My fave parts came near the end of the series when he was all serious and hurt.
*I love the female lead Park Ji-hyun as detective Lee Gang-hyun. Never seen her before in a drama. I love her together with our male lead, but what I love more is her homey life with her sweet parents and her healthy relationship with them. K-drama world is quite small and it didn't surprise me that Jin I-soo happened to live opposite the house of our female detective and her parents.
*I love the second couple: Kang Sang-jun as the cop Park Jun-young and Jung Ga-hee as Yoon Ji-won, the bold forensic doctor at the National Forensic Service.

*I like the different cases and the ongoing mystery behind Jin I-soo's mum's death, and how Lee Gang-hyun's father was involved as the cop on the case.
*It didn't feel far-fetched how Jin I-soo helped in the investigations, and his fighting skills were also credible. Fortunately they didn't make him an overcompetent cop. He just made good use of his wealth, financial resources and many connections, and happened to have a brilliant mind.

*Love the episode where Jin I-soo saves Lee Gang-hyun from drowning and solves the case of the cult and the mass suicide.
*One of my fave moments is when they reinstated Lee Gang-hyun's father as a cop. It was such a feel-good moment.
*I always like the cases best that have some connection to the personal lives of the lead players.
*I didn't like the fact that Jin I-soo's dad died, so there was no hope for a reconciliation between father and son.

*MAJOR SPOILER AHEAD: It's a familiar K-drama trope that (half-) brothers are rivals, where one is greedy for power. It looked like they were going another route here and I found it refreshing. I liked the bro bond so much that I really HATED the plot twist where the loving brother (Kwak Si-yang as Jin Seung-ju) kills the father, and to make it even worse, it also turned out Seung-ju had killed I-soo's mother as a kid. When I-soo asks his half-brother why Seung-ju was always on his side, Seung-ju says he thought I-soo was pitiful. That broke I-soo's heart. And mine! Still, I think deep down Seung-ju really cared for I-soo. The confrontation scene between the brothers was executed so well and was emotionally charged. Both actors perform at the top of their game.
*I was so happy nothing bad happened to Lee Gang-hyun's parents because they are the best. I love the sweet relationship the mum and dad have with one another. I love the mother and how she takes care of I-soo (and cooks for him) after he found out his brother was the villain and he was very hurt and cried in her arms.
*So happy that Mr. Choi, the 'butler', stayed on Jin I-soo's side and I love how I-soo appointed him CEO of the company.

*I didn't expect this show to become so heartwrenching with the reveal of Jin I-soo's family secrets. The lighthearted tone was gone with the last episodes.
*I love how the detective team at the police station became Jin I-soo's new-found family, even Team 2 turned around and cooperated.
*There's some great cinematography and fitting upbeat music. Love the sweet colour palette.

*Apparently there's going to be a second season. Hopefully there will be romance then!
